For 20+ years, I’ve worked as a writer, editor, and writing coach, focusing on the arts, business, lifestyle, and travel.

Way back in 2003, I was a young blue-haired library clerk minding the archives of a major daily newspaper when the entertainment editor approached me with an idea: Would I be interested in writing a weekly music column? I had zero experience and no training. Obviously, I said yes.

In the 20 years since, I’ve written about business, travel, lifestyle, and the arts for dozens of publications, penned content for major brands in the luxury, tech, and nonprofit sectors, worked 1:1 with the world’s brightest students on admissions essays that earned Ivy League offers, and ghostwritten high-level speeches for UNICEF directors. I’ve published a few books of my own, too.

Beyond writing, I served as copyeditor for three magazines and built a freelance editing business from the ground up, personally completing more than 11,000 proofreading and editing projects for clients in nearly 100 countries worldwide. Time featured me in an article about the gig economy.

Most importantly of all, I once edited a few words by Keith Richards (!!!).

I’ve been writing professionally for two decades. Since 2003, my work has appeared in dozens of newspapers, magazine, and web outlets, spanning hundreds of articles on topics including travel, insurance, music, lifestyle, health, beauty, fashion, style, architecture, industry, and more. Conducting hundreds of interviews—with entrepreneurs, musicians, and everyday people—has taught me how to get the right information and tell other people’s stories in a clear, engaging way.

The skills I developed as a features writer and journalist inform my work across a vast repertoire of project types, most of which are too unexciting to mention here but include web content, blog posts, product descriptions, and more.

My experiences have made me versatile and endlessly curious, and I love challenging myself with something new.
